Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber
Janis Carol started her career in Iceland and performed in some of the first musicals in the country such as "CHICAGO", "HAIR", "JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR".
Shortly after arriving in London, Janis was cast for the original production of "EVITA" and took the name Carol Nielsson to represent her connection to Icelandic. Carol Nielsson was hailed by Andrew Lloyd Webber as the “Best discovery since Edith Piaf” and has performed in many productions on the London musical theater stage, including the starring role in Andrew Lloyd Webber's productions of "CATS” and “SONG & DANCE”.
Carol currently is a resident both in the US & Iceland, and is available for venues in both countries. In the last years Carol has been moving towards Jazz, a new genre for her career.
